LOW PH IN WELL WATER

WHAT IS PH?

PH is measurement of the acidity or alkalinity of water. It is not uncommon for well water in Nova Scotia to have a naturally low PH, causing the water to be slightly acidic, and ultimately, causing corrosion issues in pipes, fixtures and water appliances.

ACCEPTABLE LEVELS

The recommended acceptable guideline for pH level in drinking water is 7 - 9.5.

HOW DO YOU CORRECT LOW PH?

Our systems utilize natural calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide filter medias. The acidic water dissolves the "sacrificial" media over time bringing the PH up to a neutral, or alkaline value.
