WHAT CAUSES STAINING?

Almost every time we get a call about staining on appliances and fixtures it is either iron or manganese. Iron causes orange-ish brown stains, and manganese typically causes a darker, black-ish brown type stain.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE STAINS FROM FIXTURES, CLOTHES AND APPLIANCES?

Firstly, it will be important to remove the Iron and Manganese from the water through treating the water as it comes in to the home. See below recommended treatment options. Secondly, you'll need a cleaning product thats up for the job. We highly recommend a product called Iron-Out, which works fantastic for iron and manganese removal from water appliances.
